Use Past Mistakes To Build A New Success Mindset
Use Past Mistakes To Build A New Success Mindset

Every single decisions matters. Every choice you have made in your life has led you to the point you’re at now.
And when I say that you are probably thinking of all those big choices you made. The choice to go into a certain career for instance, the choice to move to a certain part of town and the choice to marry a certain person. Change any of those pivotal moments and everything would be different.
And when you choose to ignore the nagging voice inside that is telling you: there’s more to life than this.
It’s scary stuff because it means that no moment in your life is inconsequential. But it’s also incredibly liberating – right now, you have a million choices open to you and you can take any of them. But how to know what to do?
Make A Map Of Failure
If there’s anything you’re unhappy with in your life, then chances are that you got there by making certain choices and decisions. These are your failures, and you are now bearing those scars in your daily life.
Many of us will accept our lot in life and accept these mistakes and thus continue to live a life less satisfying.
But what if we change this approach? What if instead, we take those things we’re unhappy with and we vow to learn from them – to not make those mistakes again.
Did you get to the point of being unhappy in your work by not speaking up and going after a raise? By not looking for work elsewhere? By not taking the chance to go after your dream?
Don’t feel bad about these mistakes – just recognize them for what they are. And knowing that, use the opportunity to head out there and really make a difference – to embrace the life that you want.
Next time the opportunity comes up – take it. And don’t fail to speak up: start telling people what you want. Want to fix your finances? Come up with a budget and stick to it.
It’s not too late, if you are able to learn from those mistakes!
Use Your Daily Goals To Help Develop A Success Mindset

We have all heard of setting goals to get ahead in life; it is espoused by pretty much every self-help or personal development guru out there.
And goals are important as they act as a destination that you are working towards. If you don’t do that, you can wander through life aimlessly and wonder why you haven’t achieved anything!
So, with that being said, what is your goal in life?
For some it is to get into shape. For some it is to get rich. For others, it is to see the world.
Now what is your daily goal?
This is a very different concept but actually the daily goal is far more important than the overarching goal – at least if you really want to achieve the things that you’re dreaming of. And why is that?
Goals are often too vague
The big issue is that for many of us, our goals are much too broad and much too vague. Even if you have a ‘specific target’ like losing 5 stone in a year, this is still much too broad and vague.
Losing that amount of weight is not entirely within your control. There’s lots you can do to increase or decrease your chances of success and of course you’re mostly responsible… but there are other factors at play here too like your health and like your metabolism.
What’s more, is that having a goal that is that far away can actually make it all too easy to cheat. You know you have a year to lose the weight, so what does it matter if you eat a bit of cake today?
And it makes it easy to get disheartened too – when you get 6 months in and realize that you’re actually heavier than you were before.
Daily goals fix all that
But daily goals fix all that. Start with a vision – a very abstract vision of what you want – and then break that down into the smallest possible steps that you can execute every day or every week.
In the case of losing weight, your goal might be to eat no more than 1,800 calories a day, or to go for at least a 10-minute run every day. That’s a small goal but it’s perfect for sticking to because it is completely within your control.
If you don’t manage to run just that little bit, then you only have yourself to blame. There are no excuses to be made – it’s pass or fail. But at least tomorrow you can try again.
Focussing on the small, achievable goal directly in front of you is a great way to get to your destination. They also serve as milestones, and you can look back during your journey to see how far you have come and this can be especially helpful if you are struggling for motivation.
It is important to enjoy the journey and not just the destination or you will be missing out on so much. To know more about enjoying the journey take a look at this premium training here at a very affordable price.
And the same goes for every other type of objective too. The best way to earn money is to build a business a little every day. And the best way to write a novel, is to write a page every night!

Five Benefits Of Having A Success Mindset
Five Benefits Of Having A Success Mindset

Are you ready to start getting more out of your life and to start getting the results you want? For many of us, success is a very slow process and one that involves a huge amount of work and effort.
For others, it all seems to come very naturally. We all know those people, the ones who seem to have the Midas touch – who seem to strike lucky no matter what they do. What’s their secret?
It’s making that cognitive shift that will help you to start making the progress you want to see in your life and moving away from a fixed mindset to a growth mindset. And here are five of the biggest ways that changing your outlook can change your fortunes…
Problems Become Challenges
A success mindset turns problems into challenges.
It means that you stop seeing setbacks as the end of the world and start seeing them as new opportunities to kick ass and take names!
When you take this approach, nothing can stand in your way!
And Failures Become Learning Experiences
You might have this idea in your head that highly successful people can never put a foot wrong or make a mistake. That’s far from the truth though.
They see it as a chance to try again – now with new information!
You Feel Amazing
When you genuinely believe you can do anything, it doesn’t just affect the way you walk around the office and conduct yourself in business.
It changes the way that you present yourself and feel about yourself. In short, you feel awesome.
You Become Instantly More Attractive
What is the secret to attractiveness in both genders? You guessed it: confidence!
People who are confident tend to be more charismatic and positive, so others will naturally tend to gravitate towards them.
You Finally Start Getting What You Want
Finally, when you adopt an open mindset for success and everything that comes with that, you’ll finally start to get what you want.
When you have a clear goal and mission, anything becomes possible. It’s just a matter of time.
Top Five Challenges Of Creating A Success Mindset

‘Create a success mindset’ they say.
‘Just go after the things you want in life’ they say!
‘Take risks’ they say…
Some people seem to be able to rewire their mind with ease, but for others it can be a real struggle to change the way they think from negative to positive.
Here are the top five challenges of creating a success mindset:
You Don’t Know What You Want
This is a surprisingly common issue and one that rarely gets brought up.
How can you go after what makes you happy if you don’t really know what that is? How can you find a goal and stick to it when you fear commitment?
Clarity is key to changing the way you think; once you know what you want, you can put your efforts into achieving it, but it you aren’t really sure about what you want, you will make excuses to procrastinate, and you’ll never make any progress.
Having Weird Aims
Or what if you know what you want in life, but your aims are just too weird or unattainable? What if you don’t want to start a business, travel or start a family. What if you want to be an acrobat? And you’re 60?
What if everyone will laugh at you?
I’m not saying that you should restrict yourself, but you need to be realistic.
If you want to know more about enjoying the journey, check out this training because it is important to not just enjoy the end goal but also the whole process: Enjoy The Journey
Being Conflicted
Or how about being torn between travelling and settling down with the person you love?
What if your heart is genuinely pulling you in two different directions?
What if going after your dream, means saying goodbye to people you love, or turning your back on the things that made you who you are?
This is where clarity can help, but ultimately you need to decide what is most important to yourself.
Being Honest With Yourself
We are prideful creatures, and our very psychology is wired in such a way as to protect our fragile egos. We don’t want to admit to our failures, and we don’t want to feel like we’re going backward.
And it’s even more difficult to blame the person in the mirror, but the responsibility for your own path in life is ultimately yours!
Responsibility to Others
It’s easy to say that you should take a leap and apologise later but what if people are really relying on you to be mature and stable?
What if your goal is to go travelling but your wife just got pregnant? Yes, there are ways around this too – you can explain how important this is to you and convince her to come with you.
But it won’t always work. And at the end of the day, you’re always going to be giving your child a less stable home.
There are answers to all these problems of course – but just know that the path isn’t as simple as some would have you believe!

Change Your Mindset To Change Your Life
Change Your Mindset To Change Your Life

A lot of people claim they know the secret to success. They will claim it is motivation, ambitiousness, positivity, conscientiousness and all sorts of other abstract nouns.
However they are missing the true vital ingredient, the real key that will get you started on the road to success to begin with: desire.
It Comes From Within
It is obvious really, but if you are going to be successful in any area of your life then you need to want to be successful. It does not matter how hard working you are, how much time you spend at work, but if you do not particularly want to climb to the top it just will not happen.
Anything along these lines is a competition essentially, and if you do not truly desire success then you’ll still be going against a whole lot of people who do.
And the more you desire something the more you’ll work to get it. And as you do you’ll find that you subconsciously even help to navigate through the mire of challenges and that the world just kind of steps out of the way.
Of course not all desire will work. Firstly your desire needs to be realistic, and secondly your desire needs to be concrete. A desire to fly for example probably is only going to end with disappointment unless you are from Krypton, and a desire to ‘be more successful’ is an abstract aim that’s really quite subjective.
How To Find Your Desire
Some people though do not seem to have any desire at all however, and these people can be quite aimless in their lives. They aren’t going to progress because they do not know how they want to progress and they do not know what they want from life. The thing is though, everyone has something they want, it is just a matter of finding out what it is.
Maybe you have got a big house and kids, or a small house and great artistic job, or you are a movie star, or a high flying businessman. Now you know what your desires are, write them down and break them down into smaller steps and priorities. Suddenly you have direction and motivation. So, you can now see the power of changing your mindset, so let’s look at 5 ways you can grow a positive mindset…
Top Five Tips For Achieving A Success Mindset

Want to start changing your life? Then you need to change yourself. You are in the position you’re in right now because you chose to be there.
You might not realize that you chose it but even through your inaction, you in fact did. The job you have right now, your financial circumstances and nearly every other aspect of your life is a matter of choice – and if you wanted to, you could go out there and change everything today. You just need to take action!
But if you really want to make a change and you want to start by changing your fixed mindset, how do you know where to start? What is it you need to change in order to achieve a growth mindset? Here are five top tips that will help make that transformation much easier…
Find Your Own Path
Most of us have a clear idea of what success means but this is an idea that we have inherited from our schools and our parents.
In order to be truly successful, you need to find your own path and that is going to mean forgetting what others think and finding what makes you happy.
Take Risks
Learning to take risks is a difficult step but if you’re going to achieve the things you really want in life, you need to take the leap sometimes.
Learn to take measured, calculated risks.
And the key is that they are calculated risks; don’t become overzealous when risk taking, but you need to be less cautions.
You know what they say “Nothing ventured, nothing gained.”
Be Prepared To Fail
Taking risks means being prepared to fail. In this instance, you need to learn how to manage failure and take it on the chin. Pick up the pieces and go again for round two!
Try reframing failure as a learning process and always “fail forward” on your way to success.
Find The ‘Essence’ Of What Drives You
Sometimes success doesn’t come in the form we expect. Sometimes we don’t know what we need to be happy.
That’s why it can be useful to break down our dreams to their essence. What is it about that idea that appeals to you and what’s the easiest way to get there?
Some people will call this finding your reason why, but no matter what you call it, you need to find it.
By the way, if you want to know more about this, take a look at this great training here: Finding Your Why
Invest In Yourself
Knowing how important that passion is to you, you now need to invest in yourself and be willing to spend both time and money on everything from your appearance to your skill set.
There is no better investment that investing in you!
Changing the way you think requires self discipline and if you want to know more about harnessing the power of self discipline, check out the featured resource below for a free report; download, read it and take action 🙂
Building A Strong Success Mindset Pt 4
Building A Strong Success Mindset Pt 4

In the first post in this success mindset for entrepreneurs series, you learnt about the importance of believing in yourself and you can find that post here
And, in the second post you learnt about testing your ideas to ensure that they are worthy, and that post is here
And in the third post you learnt about learning from your mistakes, and that post is here
In this final part of the series, we will look at focusing on your customers and building a team around you to help you to have the success you desire.
Focus On Your Customers

The customer is always right. That’s a truism of customer service, but it’s just as important when planning for success.
In the last chapter, you learned that one of the main reasons start-ups fail is because they fail to focus on the customer. But you’re not going to make that mistake!
Why You Should Focus On What Customers Want/Need
Your customers are the life’s blood of your business. If they’re not happy, your business will fail. It’s that simple.
It doesn’t matter what critics of your company and products say. If your customers are happy and satisfied, you’ll make money.
Think about James Carville’s famous sign during Bill Clinton’s presidential campaign. It read, “It’s the economy, stupid.” It was a reminder that the campaign’s voters – its customers – were worried about the economy. Keeping their focus on the community helped make the campaign a winning one.
Creating A Great Start-To-Finish Experience
A customer’s experience with you starts when they first learn about your company or product and continues for as long as they use your product.
Customers who’ve received top-notch support remember it. They’ll mention it to their friends.
Tip: Use Perkzilla to grow your audience. It’s a unique rewards platform you can leverage to grow your audience, get more social love, and increase your sales.
Providing Value
What’s the secret to attracting customers? VALUE.
Before anybody spends their money on your product, they’re going to want to know that it’ll deliver on its promises. You can make them feel better about that by offering clear value to them even before they buy.
Delivering value triggers a mental glitch called Reciprocity. When you give customer something for free – even if it’s information – they’re more likely to feel obligated to buy from you.
Of course, value must come from your product as well. It includes the quality of the product, its usefulness, its longevity, and its price.
Becoming An Authority
People look up to authority figures. You can prove your authority by doing what we just talked about – delivering value to your customers.
But authority is more than that. It’s about showing that you’re a reliable and knowledgeable source of information. On social media, it means delivering original content that’s informative and actionable. It may also mean curating content from industry publications and authorities and sharing it with your own take on the topic.
Tip: Use PLR (Private Label Rights) to get high-quality lead magnets you can repurpose to attract your target audience, grow your list, and generate leads.
For coaching PLR go to Coach Glue
For Marketing Video PLR go to Video PLR Licencing
For Personal Development PLR go to Tools For Motivation
Customer Support
Customer support starts when a customer first visits your website. You should think about what kind of support your customers need and how you’ll deliver it.
In the old days, support was mostly in person or on the phone. Today, you may want to think about:
- Email support
- Chat support
- Chatbots
- Self-service options
- FAQ
- Social media support
You’ll need to test various options to figure out what’ll work for your audience. Remember that a lot of companies are merging social media with support and consider doing the same.
Next, we’ll talk about the fifth and final step to success: building your success team!
Building Your Success Team

If you want to be successful, you can’t go it alone. There’s a temptation to do that, of course. Wearing every possible hat might save you a little money. But in the end, it’ll cost you more in time (and sanity) than the alternative.
Why You Shouldn’t Try To Do Everything
You might have a lot of skills. Perhaps you’re a great innovator with excellent communication skills. Maybe you’ve dabbled in accounting and flirted with marketing.
No matter how good you are, you’re not equally good at everything. If you try to do the things you’re not so great at, you might wind up settling for a less-than-perfect result.
Not only will you be able to do a better job at the things that ONLY you can do, you’ll also be able to live a balanced and productive life – and that’s part of success.
Tips For Building A Team
The idea of building a team can be an intimidating one, particularly if you’re thinking that you need to hire people and deal with taxes and insurance.
The good news is that you don’t need to do those things unless you want to. Lots of companies outsource tasks as needed without hiring full-time or even part-time people.
You may decide to hire someone full time. Keep in mind, though, that there are plenty of tasks you can outsource to freelancers. Using sites like Upwork makes it easy to find virtual assistants and team members.
The Importance Of Delegation
How do you know what to do yourself and what to delegate? Delegation is an essential skill. You know you can’t do everything, but it can be difficult to let go of the things you’re accustomed to doing even when you have help.
Here are some questions to help you learn how to delegate. About each task, ask:
- Can I teach someone else to do it?
- Is there anything that I’m unable to teach?
- Is my personal input required?
- Do I have someone on my team who’s capable of learning how to do it?
Unless the task absolutely requires your input and skills, it should be open to delegation. Yes, you’ll need to spend some time training your staff or freelancers to do the task to your standards. You’ll probably end up fielding a few questions and possibly, correcting a few mistakes.
It can also be helpful to take an inventory of your team’s skills. They might have abilities you don’t know about yet!

Building A Strong Success Mindset Pt 3
Building A Strong Success Mindset Pt 3

In the first post in this series, you learnt about the importance of believing in yourself and you can find that post here
And, in the second post you learnt about testing your ideas to ensure that they are worthy, and that post is here
Next, we will look at the importance of learning from your mistakes. This is a key skill to master because mistakes can quickly paralyse you and stop any momentum you had going.
What’s Your Inner Critic Saying About You?

The key to success is taking that annoying, critical voice in your head and turning it into something positive. That might seem impossible, but I promise – you can do it. It all starts with listening to that little voice.
You see, a lot of times you might simply dismiss it – or let it stop you without really listening to it.
It might even tell you that you’re stupid. Write it down. Don’t read it over again. Just record it and put it away. You’ll probably think about it during the day but try not to dwell on it.
Understanding Your Inner Critic
Are you ready to get to the heart of what your inner critic is trying to tell you?
Pull out that notebook from yesterday and read over what you wrote. Think about how you felt and what immediately came to mind.
I’m willing to bet it’s negative. Maybe even hurtful.
Ultimately, it’s trying to protect you – even though it might not seem like it a lot of the time.
Your job today is to look at what that voice says and figure out what it really MEANS.
For example, if your inner critic tells you that you shouldn’t try to start a business because you’ll fail, there are two ways to look at it:
- Your inner critic has no faith in your ability or skills, and wants you to give up;
or –
- Your inner critic is really consumed with the fear of failure and wants to protect you.
Which of those two do you think is the most likely? I’ll save you the suspense. It’s the second one.
How are these thoughts and feelings impacting your business? And more importantly, how can you mute that critic so you can focus on your strengths and what you bring to the table?
Learning From Your Mistakes

Every cloud has a silver lining – and so does every mistake. It’s a bit cliché to say that mistakes are learning opportunities, but the fact that it’s a common saying doesn’t make it untrue.
Just like failure, mistakes show us who we are. We all make them. It’s what you do with them that marks the difference between success and failure.
Why Start-Ups Fail
It’s not easy to get a start-up off the ground. When start-ups fail, it can be for any one of several reasons. Here are some of the most common:
- Not focusing on customers and solving their problems
- Lack of focus
- Scaling too quickly
- Not building a success team
We’ve already talked about focusing on customers. If you do that, you’ll be halfway to success because you won’t be thinking about yourself, you’ll be thinking about your audience.
Scaling is something that can send any entrepreneur into a tailspin. Allow your business to grow organically and scale only when you’re ready.
We’ll talk about how to build a success team later – but suffice to say, you can’t do everything yourself!
Reframing Mistakes as Opportunities
Nobody likes making mistakes. It’s no fun to be wrong. But every successful entrepreneur needs to get comfortable with it – and learn to see mistakes as opportunities.
What happens when you mess up? If you pay attention, you can learn something! Everything you learn now will help you with your next goal.
When you make a mistake, take a deep breath and ask:
What can I learn from this?
Then, once you’ve identified it, use the lesson to create your next opportunity. Once you get in the habit of doing it, it’ll be easy.
Tightening Goals
We already talked about SMART goals. When you don’t achieve a goal, it’s easy to feel disheartened. Often, it’s just a sign that your goal was too big.
When you set goals for yourself, take every long-term goal and break it down into the smallest possible steps. Focus on what you want and narrow your goals to help you achieve it. You’ll be far more likely to get where you want to go if you have tight, achievable goals.
How To Find The Lessons In Experiences
Everything you experience is a lesson. When you make a mistake or fail, it’s natural to be upset.
Take time to be upset. But then, step back. Ask what you did wrong, and what you would do differently next time.
If you lack information, go find it. Read, study, talk to other people in your industry – and then take what you’ve learned to heart and use it in the future.
Split Testing
One of the best ways to refine your goals and fine-tune your products is with split testing. Split testing involves taking content or an ad campaign and testing different versions until you get the best results.
Tip: Use Genius Lander to tap into the powerful A.S.P.A formula to turn your landing pages into lead-generating powerhouses.
Creating Your Plan B
It’s always a good idea to have a Plan B. If your first idea doesn’t work, what will you try next?
There’s no shame in having a back-up plan. In fact, part of the reason that successful people become successful is that they have a back-up plan!
Coming up next, we’ll talk about how to keep focused on your customers, so you don’t get off track, so until next time…
