Do What You Love And Love What You Do
Do you realise that when you get up in the morning you have a choice. So what choices am I on about; well, you can either look forward to the day ahead, or you can dread it, simple as that. And what do you think determines the choice you focus on? Well, that really depends on how much you like what you’re going to be doing for the next 16 hours before it’s time to hit the hay again.
Now, it’s pretty obvious that we’re not going to love everything we end up doing during the day (I don’t know many of us that look forward to cleaning the bathroom), but you should be able to find some things to look forward to. And if you can work more of those things you enjoy into your life, the more fulfilled and happier you’ll be.
Love What You Do For A Living
I have a serious question for you, and be honest here. Is your job something you look forward to, or something you dread? If you’re not having fun and really enjoying what you’re doing (and I don’t mean all of the time… we all have bad days), it may be time to give serious consideration to a career change. Believe me, NO amount of money is worth being miserable and it can be really difficult to enjoy life and love who you are when you hate much of what you’re doing on a daily basis; it is a recipe for unhappiness. Why not find something you can get behind and be passionate about instead? You’ll feel so much better! Make a living while making a difference and fulfilling your purpose in life.
Do What You Love Around The House
Our home will always be a special place in our heart. It’s a safe place, where we can raise our kids and rest our head at night. And you should enjoy spending time at home. It should be a property that you are proud to own and that you enjoy taking care of. What I’m trying to say is, our home should be our sanctuary, our safe haven, our happy place.
If you’re at home while reading this, take a look around you right now. What do you love about your home? What makes you proud of your home And conversely what don’t you particularly love and is there anything that you can do about that? Start small, but start to improve your surroundings. Moving into your dream house overlooking the ocean may not be an option right now, but you can paint your living room walls and hang up a pretty beach painting. Turn your home into a place you love.
Do What You Love – a.k.a. Hobbies
Now I realise that you may not presently be in a situation where you can do much about your job or your house, but there are other ways to incorporate what you love into your day. Find something you enjoy doing. It could be gardening, curling up with a good book, playing golf, photography, knitting… it doesn’t matter what it is as long as it is something you love and enjoy. In other words, find a hobby and make sure you make some time for it in your busy day and week.
If you’d like to discover your true purpose and lead a happy, fulfilling life, then take a look here and then, take action; your fulfilled future awaits!

Are You Living A Purposeful Life?
Can you answer this simple question? Are you living a purpose driven life? Or perhaps you are like the majority of people, living day to day, just moving along wherever life chooses to take you and not in control of your own destiny? We live in a time and age where we are constantly bombarded with distractions from all angles. We are bombarded by media 24 hours a day! With all of this “stuff” going on, it’s no wonder that it’s easy to lose track of what’s important and what we should be doing.
Now perhaps you can understand why there is such a huge market for planners and organizers! There’s a reason why so many of us work with daily to-do lists. It’s a psychological crutch which helps us sort through the clutter and pick out a handful of (important!) things we need to get done today. In other words, these organizers and lists are a coping mechanism allowing us to deal with the overwhelm of too much information and too many things we could be doing. They help us to simplify a (too) complex life.
Now, I am not dismissing these tools outright as they definitely can be useful but they may also hold a hidden danger in that they make us focus too much on the “what” at the risk of losing track of the “why”. What do I actually mean by this? What I mean is that it’s hard to see the big picture and make sure you are following your purpose when you’re just staring at a to-do list.
But it’s not difficult to fix that while still being able to use all those tools to kick overwhelm to the curb. Here’s what you need to do. Set aside a little time each month, or even each week, to sit back, reflect and look at the big picture. If you need to, put it on your calendar to make sure it gets done. Don’t just ignore it as it is important.
Finally, the exciting bit; start planning your “what” for the coming week or month, but always keep your “why” in mind when planning this. Think about what you need to do to move forward. Always keep your purpose and your end goal in mind and you will get there much quicker.

Do You Fear Success?
Did you realize that it is pretty common for people to be afraid of success? Now I know that may sound rather ridiculous, maybe even impossible; but the simple fact is that many of us will struggle to achieve the things we truly desire and this is all down to fears – specifically our subconscious fears. On a conscious level, you can plan, work and strive to succeed in the areas which are important to you but you seem to be getting nowhere fast and all your hard work and success appears to be thwarted.
So why does this happen? Well, in many cases, it is probably due to past experiences in your life which for some reason have subconsciously made you afraid of success and so you will subconsciously self-sabotage your results.
Maybe you kept hearing the phrase “people like you never get ahead” and that phrase is subconsciously buried deep in your mind. And even if you grew up in a loving, nurturing and positive environment, if your parents and/or your family struggled financially, your brain could’ve actually been programmed to believe that financial success will create a loveless and unhappy life for you. Hey, nobody said that your subconscious mind had to make sense!
It can be very difficult to overcome years of negative subconscious success beliefs, especially if you don’t actually realize they exist in the first place! But that is exactly what you need to do if you want to achieve any level of success in your life. The great news is that once you actually, totally believe you deserve success in any particular aspect of your life, your achievement of that success usually comes rather quickly and this reinforces self-belief.
Thomas Edison is one of the greatest (and most famous) inventors in history. He once said that, “I have not failed. I’ve just found 10,000 ways that won’t work.” And this is exactly why he succeeded! Consistently tell yourself that you really deserve success. And realize that you will experience failure. You will have speed bumps and problems which arise between you and whatever level of success you desire, and that’s ok. Just be ready for it, pick yourself up, brush yourself off, and start again.
If you don’t believe me just take a look and follow the lessons of other successful people and try to determine what many of them have in common; an indomitable will to succeed. A great way to start is to start practicing daily affirmations of success. Tell yourself you are worthy of success, and really feel this deep down. Tell yourself out loud that you are not afraid of failure, or the rewards that success brings. Indeed failure is a part of success.
Write these affirmations down on a small card and keep it with you always, perhaps in your wallet or purse where you can constantly review it throughout the day. It is possible to reprogram your brain with positive repetitious statements concerning your success beliefs, and daily affirmations help. Do this consistently for 30 straight days and you now have installed a positive habit.
It is very natural to fear the unknown. And in many cases, success is unknown to many of us. Just remember that with a relentless tenacity and a true self-belief that you deserve the successful achievement of your goals, you can and will learn to embrace success rather than fear it.
